Borders Online has built a radio network of masts across the Scottish Borders hills and surrounding communities, to bring superfast broadband to rural properties not currently served by the major providers.
The service needs a line of sight to one of our relay sites. No phone line is required. Speeds are 30 Mbps+ download, with data usage tariffs to suit all users.
In areas where Openreach has started to roll out fibre to the premises (FTTP), Borders Online can now supply a fibre service with high speeds and unlimited usage allowances.
Current wireless customers who upgrade keep the existing radio service as an automatic backup, in case there are issues on the Openreach network.
With our wireless and fibre services you don’t need a traditional landline for internet access. Where there is a reasonable mobile phone signal, there is then little need for a landline at all.
Our internet phone packages work with your existing handset and can keep your current number.
