Borders Local News: Bus vs Petrol Station in Hamilton

A bus driver has suffered minor injuries when his bus crashed into a petrol station in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire.

Three women working in the Jet petrol station were un harmed in the incident although in a minor state of shock.

No passengers were on the bus when the incident happened at around 2:45pm on Thursday the 19th January 2012.

Police closed a number of roads in the local area as a precaution while officers from Strathclyde Fire and Rescue made the scene safe.

The driver has been admitted to hospital but his injurys are minor.

An investigation into the incident is expected to begin today.
